This lightboard represents the flows of the 4 largest eruptions that have occurred in the US. You can faintly see in a lavendar the relatively small scattering left by Mount St Helens.

The small inner circle outlined in orange is where ash fell from the Henry's Fork caldera eruption 1.3 million years ago. The amount of ash totaled a mere 280 cubic kilometers. This was represented by the smallest of the 3 cubes in the previous display.

The ring out-lined in yellow is the Huckleberry Ridge caldera eruption 2.1 million years ago. The release totaled 2500 cubic kilometers of ash which was represented by the largest of the three cubes from the previous display -- nearly twice the size of the other 2 eruptions combined.
